Jury for ‘short film’ of Tehran int’l short filmfest named

The list of seven jury members who have selected the nominations in the ‘short film’ competition section of the 34th edition of the Tehran International Short Film Festival has been released.

Hassan Dezvareh, Nima Abbaspour, Ashkan Ahmadi, Kaveh Ghahreman, Mohammad Fahimi, Arash Abbasi and Atefeh Khadem-ol-Reza are the jury members of who picked the nominated works received from among some 6000 flicks from 117 countries. The jury said 110 of those movies are qualified to compete in the ‘short film’ competition section.

The 34th edition of the Tehran International Short Film Festival, to be directed by Seyyed-Sadeq Mousavi, is slated for October 17-22 in the Iranian capital city.

Organized by the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, the festival is held to provide an opportunity for young filmmakers to exchange their experiences.
